Turf-Lock™

Turf-Lock™ is an interlocking concrete block designed for erosion-control use. The Turf-Lock™ system is versatile and very user friendly. Unskilled laborers will quickly learn the installation procedures and install 60-80 units per man hour (not including sub-grade preparation). Each Turf-Lock™ unit is secured in place by the six surrounding pieces, thus allowing flexibility in any direction while still maintaining the interlocking feature.  Turf-Lock™ may be used to control erosion even if vegetation is desired. Each unit is designed with open spaces to allow vegetation growth in evenly spaced diamond-shaped openings.

Examples of applications include: high foot-traffic areas where grass will not grow; around bridge abutments; by rivers, lakes and streams; dikes; earthen dams; spillways; boat-launching ramps; agricultural applications; and any other area where erosion control is needed.
